Inside Sales, Business Development

This position is an inside sales lead generation role with support closing deals from senior account managers.  We are looking for motivated individuals who can learn our sales methods and process from the ground up in order to transition into senior outside sales and account manager roles and mentor other incoming reps.

Functions

  • Prospecting for IT business to establish new clients and maintain consistent pipeline of developing opportunities. 
  • 40 – 50 outbound calls daily, networking and referrals
  •  Follow up on warm leads as well as generate new leads
  • Nurture leads through long cycles into opportunities
  • Track pipeline and activities in CRM system (salesforce.com)
  • Assist in generation of proposals and follow-ups through average 3 month sales cycle
  • Stay informed of IT trends in business and target industries
  • Meet with tradeshow and event attendees to develop new business

  • Very comfortable with technology and is able to communicate with Technical resources
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Understands the difference between assertive and aggressive and when each is appropriate
  • Polished intelligent communicator who can read people and situations and adapt accordingly
  • Enjoys the application of ingenuity to negotiate entry into fortune 500 companies
  • Can ask probing questions, qualify answers and quickly synthesize the responses
  • Provide consistent churn in pipeline to both qualified and disqualified opportunities\leads
  • Effectively manages time with focus on  minimizing non revenue generating activities
  • Perform without managerial oversight within a casual entrepreneurial environment
  • Can easily switch between multiple tasks and maintain productivity
  • Understands the relationship between business decisions and IT landscape
  • Good business acumen, decision making, and can exercise judgment 
  • Good problem solving
  • Rapport and relationship building

Experience

  • Background in IT consulting sales or understanding of IT programs
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Data Integration, and\or design, branding, and other similar creative services
  • Familiarity with Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing industry
  • Prior experience with Director and C-Level Executives
  • Track record of reaching decision makers
  • Comfortable with cold calling, creative prospecting, opportunity identification skills, communication, writing & phone presentation skills.
