Senior Sharepoint Evangelist

​Allin Consulting is interested in speaking with Boston area SharePoint evangelists.  In response to services demand, we are looking to expand our SharePoint practice with intelligent charismatic people who enjoy promoting the adoption of SharePoint and being a part of its development in the community.  This position will be a mix of promotion and education through all mediums with some hands on delivery and consultative work in a leadership role.


Successful candidates will be at the forefront of SharePoint trends, capabilities and interactions within the Microsoft stack, will be pro-active self motivated learners, and excited about building a personal brand while at Allin.  A successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate prior experience with these activities, network and participate in community events, and have willingness for heavy travel

Primary Functions

  • Develop and present educational and training materials for general public and large audiences
  • Work towards building identity awareness in the Boston Metro\North East\National SP community
  • Utilize social media outlets for demonstrating expertise and thought leadership
  • Support on pre-sales engagements for technical solution and scoping
  • Lead and or participate in Vision/Greenfield discussions for new SharePoint deployments and existing environment enhancements.
  • Keep current on SharePoint technologies and trends, share knowledge internally and externally through various mediums.

Secondary Functions

  • Be able to serve in a technical project lead capacity; assist with plan development, architecture and design documents, risk/mitigation/scope management through close interactions with PMO as needed.
  • Perform critical pieces of work across multiple projects, while delegating and overseeing work that can be delivered by less senior resources.
  • Consult on SharePoint enterprise administration, taxonomy and governance operations procedures.

Skills

  • Able to tie business concepts, procedures and workflows to functional solutions through creativity and experience.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills; ability to engage and excite audience
  • Good communicator of ideas and vision
  • Can build professional and interesting presentation materials
  • Current relevant certifications
  • Good mentor/teacher
  • Sound understanding of SharePoint architecture and functionality with ability to demonstrate expertise through solution build and design experienc
  •  Can easily switch between multiple tasks and maintain productivity.
  • Understand relationship between business decisions and IT landscape and the trade-offs that occur.
  • Some .Net development capabilities would be a plus
  • High degree of business acumen

Experience

  • 5+ years visioning, designing, and building multiple WSS/MOSS solutions.
  • Mentored and led teams through all aspects of SharePoint SDLC.
  • Experience with presentations; sharing of information and expertise in public mediums
  • Consulting background experience with client facing activities.
