SSIS Used for Centralizing School District Test Scores

The Challenge

A School District wanted a centralized system where they could load students’ standardized test results for multiple tests, so that students and parents could view all the results on the internet.

The Solution

We assisted the School District by leveraging Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services to develop an automated process to extract, transform, and load the standardized test data from multiple disparate sources into a data warehouse for reporting. This was accomplished by building an SSIS package and writing SQL scripts.

The Benefits

The schools were able to reduce the amount of manual processing and loading of data necessary, as well as increase overall accuracy of data entry. Students and parents are able to view all test scores online easily, without any additional assistance from the school.
