The Challenge
The client wanted to integrate HR information from three separate systems: Active directory, Oracle E1, and Microsoft SharePoint. It was imperative that the information was consistent and accurate across all three systems, so that the records matched and there were no discrepancies.
The Solution
Allin architected a solution which allows information to be updated in any of the three systems, then pushes the information to the other two automatically when the change is made. This ensures that information is consistent and up-to-date in all systems. The primary hurdle in this integration project was the involvement of oracle’s E1 system. Based on our knowledge of oracle systems, we were able to understand the “language” the system was speaking and, through the creation of a web application, translate it into Microsoft’s data structure.
The Benefits
The new system allows information to be entered into any of the three systems and automatically pushes the information to the other two. This increases efficiency and accuracy, as information only needs to be entered once and is always consistent across systems.
